Carbon Poles

I need to source a carbon pole 44-47" in length to form the vertical support on a tarp. It is preferable that it can be broken down into two sections to fit into a frame bag. I've had a look at various options from the kiting fraternity, but does anyone have any other suggestions?

I know Easton produce carbon poles ... but alas that's as much as I know about them.

How much heavier would aluminium be?

Just thought, if you were to use aluminium then have a search for Hampton pole kits, I think ultralight outdoor gear might do them.

Problem of the poles sorted - zpacks do a light carbon pole that weighs naff all. Also, quest outfitters do the lightweight easton poles in a DIY style.

Titanium Goat - Cool, they do ti foil too.

Hmmm, goes off stroking chin .... where's that caldera clone template?

I like the look of this on their website. Perfect for a British summer under a tarp:

Someting along the same lines as the bivvy above. This one offers a touch more room but is a little heavier at 290g as it comes with an Easton pole ... cheaper though at around £44.
