Got a wildcat tiger from slowupslowdown yesterday. Plus some XT brake levers and, joy of joys, new seal kits for my Hope Mini's that are playing up a bit.

Just waiting for PlanetX to get some small dirty harry frames in, then I have a skunk bike build project up my sleeve (skunk as in: if she finds out I'll have some explaining to do)

2Oookstar landed Friday (bug net and bathtub floor for trailstar tarp if you didn't know) So beautifully crafted and such a thing of loveliness that I have been playing with it for days. So far, it floats on bogs and keeps out the wee beasties 100% and Ann seems to like it too (well she''s coming round to the idea any way) so at least that means I don't have to lug the Quasar up hills when we do go wild together. It has been worth waiting for and patience has been rewarded as Sean in his self imposed cottage one-man sweat shop in Castle Douglas is producing some cracking gear and deserves to be supported and exalted.

How much?

2Oookstar standard floor (30D 47gsm) and 35cm ripstop walls = £260 Eeek! (other more expensive options are available) but that is cheaper (mostly) and lighter and more friendly and more breathable than 2 MOR bug netted bivi bags (not Borah). http://oookworks.com/2OookStar.html

Cheers for the info, was just checking it's still bonkers expensive.

Out of interest, what does it weigh. Just wondering at what point, bearing in mind price and weight, that it becomes more "sensible" to buy a tent.

There's more to buying gear than price and weight of course. I'm not trying to tarnish your lovely new bit of gear 8-)

With strings attached 650g (can't find a suitable emoticon). Who said anything about sensible? If you want a tent, get a tent, just like, if you want a kayak don't buy a packraft ... now that is bonkers expensive! End of debate.

A big reel of amalgamating tape for chainstay duties.

An SKS presta/schrader digital pressure gauge for fatty experimentation.

A variety of Mucky Nutz Fenders from their sale section. Can't bring myself to fit proper 'guards but can see a need. Hoping I can swap them between bikes and remove easily if not needed.

Thanks for that. Just ordered another bender fender bender, work really well with big tyres the wrong way round to stop mud being flung in your face. Also ordered a but fender to see if I can bicycle it to tiger for a bit of extra protection.

a butt fender for when it gets properly dirty out,

an Onza Canis 2.25 tyre, first impressions are good. 2.4 Ardent at the front and they seem to match well.

Awaiting pedals and cleats for the big conversion from Time to Shimano after Time continue to dissapoint.

My 105 road pedals turned up yesterday, so it was fun getting used to them again this morning. I also picked up a couple of inner tubes from Planet-X and thankfully all 4 take air! My camping mate should hopefully arrive tomorrow too. I went for the Exped Downmat Lite.

Hope pro2 evo straight pull hubs with 29er crest rims arrived today. Now realised I also need tubeless rim tape and valves along with sealant (which i knew i'd need) so that's on order. Then thought "bugger it, in for a penny" so ordered new disc rotors and new tyres and bought a track pump. Can't wait till it's all on the bike, gonna be at least 500g weight saving if not more :D .

Nope, they will be staying on Fargo. I am slowly building up a Krampus, only need a pair of Rabbit Holes now and I should be able to start the build. Decided I wasnt man enough for full fat so dipping my toes in the water with half-fat. :D

Possibly just the photo but that looks pretty thin to have a -7 comfort rating. Weighing 800g, I'd estimate that 400g of that is down which isn't much at -7 ... hopefully I'm talking rubbish. ;)

Shamano M530 pedals - Finally got fed up with changing cleats or bearings every 6 months on my crank brothers so switching to something different. Thought I would try shimano again after years away from them.

Also direct mount xt mech for Krampus build

Top tube bag from no logo bikepacking arrived yesterday. Looks nicely made and plenty of length/width in the straps so they can be trimmed to suit.
