What sort is it Stu? I just got a PestStop one off Amazon, got a couple of (young) rats with it, but either the rats have gone off peanut butter (likely as they're not touching the other traps baited with it either), or they're too wary of it. Going to have to get chocolate spread next!!

Now broken and being replaced - hope yours lasts a bit longer and is a bit more successful!!

voodoo_simon wrote: Mon Nov 30, 2020 10:26 am In perhaps the most middle class post you can find, a pair of Hunter Wellington Boots  Found a pair slightly better than half price and then had some cash back sitting in the account for 6 months, so in the reckoning, I got them for £15...

Great for taking mini-voodoo and dog-voodoo out into the woods :-bd

Also received the decathlon jacket last week too, seems pretty good for £15 :-bd Waist is a little on the tighter side but fit  Anyone wanting one may need to upsize

Ahem, snob post incoming.

I think you’ll find you need Aigle or Le Chameau to qualify as middle class. Something like these https://www.houseofbruar.com/mens-leath ... lly-green/

To be fair, I picked up a pair of Aigle Parcours in Decathlon and they are very very good and a lot cheaper than House of (Fleece a coach load of tourist) Bruar.

Berghaus Paclite overtroos, OutdoorGB 33% off. Last pair lasted 9 years.

Last man standing in the DWR camp then  , but I'm happy being a contrarian in many things.

If I had the wit to play a musical instrument I think I'd be Reg and The Contrarians. Or possibly Reg and The Raviolis.

Re the Wrong Trousers, waste of money of course because when it pisses with rain (ie all my rides) by the time I've dug them out my legs are damp so I put them back and realise it doesn't matter anyway. Sigh. Apart from the trench-foot I quite like my boots full of water.

The postman's been ..... and hates me. Delivered a 12 kg kettlebell

Bit light for some I'm sure (and I already have a 16 kg) but want to get technique dialled before using heavier weights. Usually find "weights" boring and can't maintain interest / motivation but for some reason (trying) to chuck a kettlebell around is more engaging, IMO.

I'm sure even though it's light a few sets of swings with the 12 will still have me puffing like the dodgy old git I am

Not that light, it weighs more than my full sus and I wouldn't swing that about with 1 arm in my lounge! I hope you're going to leave a tip in the Postie's Christmas card

I thought my full sus was ok, not supper light but reasonable. Then I rode with a friend last Friday and felt the weight of his new Scott Spark :o You'd need 2 of them in each hand to get a good workout

And delivered material (from ripstopbytheroll) to make a tarp for the hammock. This one's going to be silpoly so a bit lighter for the intended size than silnylon.

A bumper box of goodies from Germany.

Replacement chaingrings and jockey wheels for my Pact. I'm running the current drivetrain into the ground so there will be a nice, new setup in the Spring.

A pair of Teravail Rutland tyres for the Amazon. The closest I could find to a Nano but in comfy 650x47 format. Really needed now the trails are a bit soggy.

And a Kask Mojiito X helmet with peak (I think that makes it a Grrrravel helmet). Replaces a Giro I've been using but always felt the strap wasn't a good fit. I checked the date on the Giro recently and saw it had a manufacturing date of May 2012. I didn't buy it then but I think it's fair to say it was due replacement. I have a Kask MTB helmet and it's easily the comfiest I've had so I'm hoping for a good result.

Ah yeah - a set of XT hubs to make a replacement set of wheels for my Occam. I have rims, so just need to do the measurements and get the spokes ordered.
