The postman hasn't been here
Don't order anything from Tredz you need in a hurry just now. Five days and they haven't even put it in the post yet. I get it that these are challenging times, but everyone else I ordered from has got things to me quickly. It would also have been nice to know before I placed the order that this would happen as they must have been aware. I'm a bit scunnered as it means stuff won't arrive before a planned trip now.

I've had issues with Tredz in the past. They're on my naughty list. It's not that I won't use them, but certainly not for anything I need quickly.

Tredz are fairly liberal with the truth about what they have in stock in my admittedly limited experience.

Yeah, lesson learned. I would still use them again, just as you say, not for anything urgent.

A box of goodies from Extremtextil - now to decide on which one of the 4 tarp designs I’ve sketched up.
Hope I don’t destroy Helen's sewing machine!

A Wildcat seat pack harness from Stu, and a big box full of aerosol paint for my Falcon road bike project. Can't wait to get spraying now (once the frame is back from being rechromed)

As seen in these parts last month, 1000g in it's carry case and just £6.83 from Ali Express delivered 19 days.
For lazy bike packing trips where I fancy chilling and taking my time

And delivered a 'bivvy loo'
Not really for a bikepacking bivvy, it's meant for an over carp fishing bivvy, but a good back up plan for kipping in the van and family day trips during covid (as toilets often shut)

Field Guide To Coniston Copper Mines book - excellent. Very many thanks to the person who sent it
. I do love a book which includes sentences like "here is an exceedingly alarming remnant of masonry whilst also needing to keep a wary eye on the 'Sword Of Damocles' inverted rock pinnacle"
.
Some good rides round there of course so an added incentive to get up there. Easy train ride from Milton Keynes.

Reg, I trust you've got a copy of the excellent Pigs and Ingots, The Lead/Silver Mines of Cardiganshire by Tina Carr and Annemarie Schöne, published by Y Lolfa in Talybont. My copy survived the cull when we moved and I often scan it to remind myself of the meaning of the word desolate.

Thanks for the tip-off! Doh, I need to add that now
. Got full set of Bicks' Metal Mines Of Mid-Wales which is superb (and might include stuff from your book but I will try and find that), plus whatsisname's definitive tome about Dylife.
Ta.

A 10l water container, with screw on lid and a tap
Will be a non-bikepacking article but, amongst other things, will be used for water refills when biking and washing the bike (ordog) with a worx hydroshot before lobbing it in the van (once this sunny spell is over)

New bars to replace ones with a big chip
Obviously the ones on sale are a different height, so I'll be faffing with spacers too

I had a Thomson Masterpiece seatpost earlier in the week, second hand, I couldn't afford a new one but even if I could they seem to be out of stock most places.
Today I had,
4 pairs of Hope brake pads
New tyres for the spearfish
Big bottle of Stans fluid
I also got 2 packets of haribo in the box, which Jane sussed was probably due to the value of the order
Also had 2 lots of bar tape and some 11 speed quick links, turning up on the same day as the above didn't help disguise my spending spree.

I don't know Reg... from the Guardian review of the same:
Several scenes are related from the ambit of a campsite bonfire, as the author revisits that day’s excursion

Yeee-e-e-ss, am on page 80 and there have been one or two conflagration-focussed situations so far which I've had to forgive in the interests of harmonious reading
.
It's more flowery than 'Who Owns England?' but still thought-provoking.
