Hopefully a V3 Sonder Camino Al frame and fork will be dropped over the side gate sometime today...

A happier feeling than Monday's trip to my LBS, who wanted to charge me £25 for a centrelock lock ring. Obviously I laughed, and won't visit again.

One of those Polaris jacket things. Not exactly a flattering fit, but I think it'll do the job.

3 x Conti Light tubes. You know, those inflatable things you can use instead of having gunge all over the place  .

Another headtorch, you can never have too many right?

This one is a Zebralight H600w. More for walking than biking use though, still have my Exposure lights for that

Re: BRS-3000T

One word of caution with this stove type*. The small burner head means flames are concentrated on a small area of the pot base. You'll need good quality cookware. Cheap lightweight pans will distort and can even burn through. I talk from experience.

* Comments are directed at this design, which is available in many brands, not this particular product.

This is very true, in fact I've just written the very same thing in my book. Quality aluminium pots will often work better than Ti with such stoves due to the better conductivity :-bd

Only an issue if you're 'cooking' rather than boiling water though

Poor quality Ti often has 'thin spots' so it can still start to burn / deform even boiling water.

Not so. 'Boiling' water for coffee, etc. is usually a fast affair. I certainly don't simmer until boiling anyway. It's this intense application of concentrated flame that's the issue with lesser quality cookware.

I also had a nice cap arrive on Saturday, it's my newsletter 'guess the lyric' prize. At first I thought it had been especially commissioned for me.. then I saw peoples Dam Busters pictures  Still a great cap though.

The postman has also been delivering all sorts of bits for the Spearfish build. I won't list them here though as Jane has noticed the number of parcels that have been arriving since I bought a frame and declared 'All I need is a back wheel, I have all the rest already'

To be fair to me, I assume that Dave's prize for the month before had been especially commissioned? I do like a nice cap though so still a great prize :-bd

Plus it has the zombie bear on it. If only there was a matching zombie bear jersey
