Brilliant effort all... been great to watch all finishing, despite the weather and mechanicals  :-bd

Fear not, the locals have been keeping me up to speed! I don't think I'm coming home, I'll just hide in the woods.

From what I can tell, John Russell (Flat-4) finished today ... another 'boner.

Anyone who can cope with Welsh tussocks can finish the TD

Amazing efforts all round folks!!!

I don't mind tussocks but pretty sure I haven't got the TD in me.

Much respect to everyone who does, beers well and truly earned!!!

It defies description and the people I have met have been wonderful. I'm getting a ride to Phoenix with the parents of a guy I was riding with, they can't do enough to help me.

Just back from Phoenix Walmart Supercenter to buy some civvies. Luckily I got a t shirt thrown at me during a 4th July parade so I had something other than riding gear to wear.

Conner O'Leary is heading south on an ITT at a fair rate!

He's at big springs nearly 1000 miles in and has averaged 215 per day to get there.

How do I see Connor O'Leary on trackleaders? He has some background and seems to be giving it a proper go after Mike's record run. Will be interested to follow him over the next 10 days.

That's quite a set of markers he's laid down so far. If I'm reading it right he's 2.5hrs up on Mike Hall's ride based on the Spot pings before stopping where Connor is at Island Park? Mike's track does have a ping at the start so the time spots from there I think are correct even if much of the first day wasn't tracked.

just when you thought the TD dot watching was over for this summer ..

I've not looked in detail but it said on the American forum that he started at 5am.

What I was looking at was just the time since the start in each case, if you look click on the white square of a ping it has a time since start figure and according to that he was 2.5hrs up on Mike's time since start to the point before stopping at CO's last sleep spot, where Mike also stopped. Distances from start to that ping will only be a mile or so apart, or less.

He's only about 1.5 hrs up on Mike now. Damn it, I'd just closed the last Trackleaders tab, now I need one open again. Distractions!

John/Flat_4 is heading this way on a Greyhound so will hopefully meet him for a beer and story swapping session. I'm finding that getting my flights brought forward is looking impossible without spending a fortune so I'm hoping the hotel here will look after my bike for a few days in it's box and I'll do a mini tour in a rental car.

Connor O'Leary's spot has not updated for 30 hours. The last it shows seems to be him setting off from Heart Six guest ranch, then turning around a few minutes up the trail and coming back. Hope this is just a tracking problem and not the end of his speedy ride.
