Just received some black 2 mm 'bridle-line', cordage with a dyneema core and braided sleeve of...something else. 160 kg breaking strain, 3.6 grams per meters and 30 meters for a tenner from powerkiteshop.com

It has that 'new cordage smell'.

Love my Jones H-Bars, position feels much more correct then normal bars now
I fond the Ti ones take away more of the vibration than the titech ones.

Yes, will do. They look ideal for bikepacking, lots of hand positions and slightly more back-sweep/ upright position for all day riding. A custom bag to fit inside the loop is on the cards soon I think 8-)

The Monkii Clip is listed as fitting up to 38mm diameter. I've just tried it on a pair of Marzocchi drop offs with a slightly odd leg profile (not actually round) and with a diameter of around 40mm. I had to use a slightly longer bolt than the 2 supplied but it went on okay.

I think had the fork leg been round and 40mm, then the longest supplied bolt would have been fine.

I think I'm being dense here but just wanted to check - it sounds as if these probably DO fit normal suspension forks? I know sizes might vary a little but a lot of these type of things I looked at wont get anywhere near to fitting around a fork leg. I've got Fox 32 F120 FIT RLs on the Canyon.

Ill be sticking with the mug / meths set up for one nighters for brews etc but this brings me a lightweight gas set up for when I think I want to cook instead.

I will have to go measure. They are 32mm forks but I don't know whether that refers to the diameter of the lower legs or the uppers...!?

32mm is the stanchion diameter rather than the lower legs.

His just droped of a moosive Ardent 29 x 2.4 for the new P35 front wheel and some XO grip-shifters. Hopefully shifters will finally end my quest to find a set I like with my Jones bars :D

Fitted my Jones bars last night. Didn't notice this problem

Liking the shape so far, at least as far as a spin around the Estate has revealed. I'm already used to the backsweep from the Carnegies (and Mary's before those), but the slightly more upright position will hopefully help my shoulders/ neck on long rides. The out of the saddle position is a bit different, and might yet take some getting used to.

Taping up the loop with bar tape was an interesting exercise too...

I really (think) I want a set of these for an adventure bike. I'm using On-0ne Fleegles on my commuter which don't have the same degree of sweep, but do have more than a 'normal' bar. Just worried the sweep might be too much... Its a bit of a risk given they are fairly pricey.

I tried fleegles and found them to be too much like a standard bar. I now use Marys which you can get for £12.99. You could try a pair to see if you like the sweep before committing to Jones. Marys do have a rise on them though, I ride mine flipped.
