Combined with the down vest, you'll be ok I think. Try it close to home for a mini test to see how you get on.

After a break of a few weeks my local Morrisons have packets of 2 x Energizer Lithium batteries priced up at 48p back in stock. Must be a mistake, might be national. I cleared them out for my Spot tracker. :)

This is replacing a PHD minim 500 I have just sold.

UKhammocks are doing a 5 day sale on their own brand hammocks (3 days left I think).

It's good gear handmade in the UK. I've used a demo version of Mat's Woodsman X (single layer). Very light compared to some hammocks and as comfy a lay as many others. He also does a range of handmade in the UK top and under quilts suitable for hammocking and bivi (though not currently in the sales) plus lots of spares and accessories.

Site isn't the slickest or most informative at times but his Youtube channel is good to get more info about particular products. Easy to talk to and discuss mod's / options if you contact him. Have always found him happy to mod' stuff as well for users particular needs.

http://www.ukhammocks.co.uk/online/shop ... mocks.html

I have lots of his gear and know him a little but genuinely believe it's good stuff made in the UK by a guy who's into his gear.

Likewise on the revelation x quilt. Mines the 30f in regular. Combined with the PHD minimus vest I ordered (also on sale at PHD) I should hopefully enjoy a toasty and light Christmas. The quilt alone cut my current sleeping bag weight by half! Now to get a new tarp/ Bivi bag to complete my sleeping system.

No batteries with it but it's a neat headlamp for ultra-minimalists, weighs about an ounce. Got one from another brand (same product, £4.99 I think in TKmaxx) last year and it's fine for map reading/bivi duties. Also got an emergency space-blanket for a quid.

I got one of those from morrisons. Not as cheap as a quid though. £3 with batteries iirc.

So at 18 bikes is doing 15% off any exposure product. I just got a revo from him that wasn't a stock item with the discount.

It's a great shop and worth making an effort to support especially when there's bargains to be had

Ta

Will see if it's a somewhat better fit than the PHD I picked up (this might well be a "tart" issue).

How do the 5.10's come up size wise? Big, Small, Normal?
Does anyone actually use them for bikepacking or just larking about on the trails?
Me thinks me wants some :D

Make your mind up! - a fortnight ago you were asking about disco slippers ;)

They size up as normal. If you do go that way, expect very wet feet for much of the time.

I dont remember being interested in Spud shoes?
Ok, so im teaching myself to use clipless pedals with a cheap pair of (my dads) shimano spd's, and when i finally get the hang of it, i want to invest in some of my own.
I like the look of the crank brothers candy 2, but i have heard some people saying that crank bros pedals don't last well at all.
So does anyone on here use crank bros clipless pedals? what are your thoughts?
Cheers
Ben
I wrongly assumed a switch to clipless pedals would also involve shoes ;)
