Gave mine a workout through the mountains to Nant Yr Arian yesterday, I now have a lovely 'Truckers Tan' on my left arm. I think the women I was guiding were struggling to work out why I was wearing a top belonging to someone called 'Norm'.

Set of Exped UL drybags, XS/S/M/L. Being a bear of small brain, I just have to work out whether they keep dry things dry when it's wet outside, wet things wet when it's dry outside, wet things drier when it's wet outside, dry things dry erm, er.... Maybe if something needs to stay ultra-dry, you can pack it russian-doll-style with all four bags.

I should have listened to Stu, they're a waste of time anyway. But the colours are nice so that's all that matters.

^^ Just be careful not to over-stuff them... Mine exploded recently when trying to getting mixed up with the sizes and trying to stuff the large of two sleeping bags into the smaller of the two drybags :(

I find it helps to staple a note to the side of the bag indicating maximum size

I still have a month to wait for the postman to arrive, but I received a photo today from Michael Travers from the titanium welders he uses before my bike is flown over, just have to wait now until the SRAM new 1 x 11 APEX gearing arrived at the end of this month.

The bike is going to be called the Travers DIRTi and it's a CX/Adventure/BikePaking bike with 40mm wide tyres on tough tubless road sized rims, drop splayed bars, Lauf Grit 30mm forks, Brooks C17 saddle and it has 3 bottle cage mounts

I'm quite pleased with it actually. Lots of places to stash stuff and seems quite comfy and stable. Yet to load it fully though, but will take it to the Lakes at the weekend to give it a good try out.

oh, nearly forgot - picked up some new wheels from Coombes Cycles in Hereford today. I delaced the Pacenti SL25's from my CK geared hubs and had these relaced to some Light Bicycle 35mm carbon wheels, giving me a geared/ singlespeed option for either the Stoater or the Bahookie. The Pacenti rims where laced to some new XT hubs to run as spares with narrow tyres, as I've been all over the place lately swapping tyres around. Lastly, the SON 28 hub has gone onto a 50mm carbon rim for me to run 29+ on the Highland Trail.



It's been a speedy kind of week...
