Just got one of DHB's seamless base layers, seems pretty good.

Better though was the present for my nephew... a shiny new Thomson Covert Dropper Post. Properly jealous.

What's coming Dave or is it a secret?
Not a well kept one if it is.

After a while spent desiring ti again I spent some time pouring over a new Travers rusty or a carver gnarvester.

In the end the threaded bb and paragon dropouts tipped me towards the carver.

Yes I was a lot quieter on the Twixmas bothy ride.
But I'll be even quieter in the future after picking these up from Cotswold today for just £15 (size 8 = a snug size small or a baggy medium

The schnozzle is worth it - I inflated my synmat by mouth when I got it and there was a noticeable damp spot from my breath about 50cm from the valve. Should really come with the mat like it does with the Downmats.

I've seen reports that you shouldn't inflate to the max possible as it puts strain on the internal welds, don't know if this is genuine or the mats in question were faulty anyway.

I'd say, don't inflate to max pressure because they're not as comfy as they are, when they're a little softer

Those types of activities are not advised on lightweight self inflating mats ;-)

Few bits of titanium trinketry from Dutchware in the US (http://www.dutchwaregear.com/).

Jesus H Christ though it was expensive. I accept the whole handling and import fees but looking back at this order:

$84 for gear (inc postage), c.£5 from Lloyds for the privilege of using my debit card (arse!) and £18 at this end. Probably cost nearly £100.

Given it looks a tiny envelope before it's even unpacked I feel a little "stung". Wasn't even bloody essential stuff, just some toys I fancied whilst blowing money on the internet on presents for everyone else before Xmas

Tarp waspz: http://www.dutchwaregear.com/wasp.html
Adutchable clips: http://www.dutchwaregear.com/adutchable-clips-pair.html
Special whoopie hooks for a bridge hammock: http://www.dutchwaregear.com/bridge-ham ... -pair.html

Heyho, life's short

12L Lomo drybag just arrived. The smaller diameter but longer length is a winner for me. Seems a fraction heavier than the 13L Alpkit Dual Lok it's replacing...probably in the chunkier clips.
