If you get hungry, don't look at me

Don't worry, by the time the "bunch" has been through, it'll all be clear

Just been shopping and ended up with 2 Battenburgs and a packet of 12 mini scotch eggs. Rock on!

The amount of food you carry Ian would get me about half way. There'd be no point looking to you for grub!

I'll hope to be at the campsite by 7:30pm on Fri so will probably get there after 8:00. I'll be in a blue T4 camper. A change of bike and a change of approach for this year's event. :)

Woke up this morning with a stinking cold.
And, my clutch decided it's not going to play nice on the way to work!

It has been mentioned there are river crossings. Generally what sort of depth are we talking here?

We are heading over from Sheffield leaving at 4pm Friday. Have space for person and bike if needed.

I'm fairly sure that by the time I get hungry you'll be long finished anyway! Maybe you could ride back down the course with some snacks for us all :)

Pontrhydfendigaid, at about 115k
The one thing i found difficult last year was stopping for an hour in a nice warm pub after riding for 10 hours. After that my legs just didnt want to start again, which made the next 30k before I stopped very difficult.

Pontrhydfendigaid, or "that village" as most BB folk say. Round here people call it "Bont"
There is also Teifi Inn at Ffair Rhos, a mile past Bont on the corner of the turn up to Claerwen. I vaguely remember reading about their generous hospitality to some WRT riders, so it would be nice to put some trade their way. Phone and menu at

Food served until 9.30pm too, which might prove to be a useful extra half-hour compared to the Black Lion

I had been having similar thoughts about this. I'm actually going to carry enough food to not rely on stopping so that when I get there I can make a choice in terms of time and how I'm feeling.

Same thoughts here, stopping makes continuing suck!

Anyone staying at Bron Y Llys near Dylife the night before?
I'm there, just wondering if anyone was going for a meal in the pub?
