After a weekend camping with the lads and finishing up in the pub on the Sunday night I staggered down to the local orchard and slept under a tree in just my sleeping bag, I was woken up by an old boy on a ride on lawnmower cutting the grass in a circle around me!

slept on the beach on Lindisfarne whilst on a paddling trip from Craster. got woken up by noisy seals in the morning. also slept in a plastic road workers hut whilst doing the DOE. 4 of us sat bolt upright with a corner each and no room to put our legs out or up.

Not really a bivvy but I stayed in a cabin last night at an old Uranium mine that offers radon baths and the tap water stank of Sulphur. I fully expect to grow an extra head in the following days.

Don't know why, but bivving in a cave is a strange experience. Snake/spider fear maybe,
Hmm fairly interested in trying out a 'cave bivi' - specifically the inchnadamph bone caves on the west coast... Must do some research!

Flight back to uk from Norway was overbooked so we were forced to spend a night in a luxury hotel.
After six weeks hiking and climbing we made full use of the en suite but found it impossible to sleep in the beds so slept on the floor.
