My favourite 'thing' to have is hydration tablets, not because they hydrate you more than water, but because it makes the water taste different. Technically I could get this from uberconcentrated cordial, but Nuuno Tri Berry tablets taste nice

I take quite a bit of food, as I like to eat. Most of the stuff I take is normal snack type food, not special food. Snack bars like Eat Nakd bars or 9 bars are usually good, as well as coconut macaroons (dark chocolate of course)

If I'm walking then I usually take a home blended trail mix - chocolate M&Ms, honey roast nuts, normal roasted nuts, munchies, maybe some dried fruit, oat clusters, mini hob nobs, chocolate etc

If I'm cycling then trail mix is a pain to eat, mainly cos I have gloves on, so flapjack cut up into bite size chunks is easier
