Sawyer stuff has 20% off at the moment. Google "Sawyer Europe" for their site.

Our water supply comes from a spring and is unfiltered, so it wasn't really a matter of having a 'soft' stomach ... however, given the amount of unfiltered water I've drunk over the years while out, getting stung once probably isn't that bad.

I use one of these, filters pretty much everything you could ever come across anywhere, it's instant and leaves no taste. It also fits in a normal bottle cage.

There a good idea but was looking for something that was a bit more flexible in its use,

The Sawyer turned up today not had a chance to use it yet but looks the same filter as the purehydration bottle.

I'll take it for a spin hopefully over the weekend.

Thanks for the advice folks, appreciated :0)

I use mine to top up the hydra sack in my back pack and once that's full, I then use is as a normal water bottle. For the FF, I'm aiming to travel light and just keep about 1lt in the sack, as there are so many water sources in the area to top up with the purgehydration bottle from.
