Yup, the possibility of long covid is the bit that really scares me (from a selfish perspective, apart from the general risk to other people). Reading this rather focused the mind:

I got it from work. Around 2 weeks of self isolation and then about 6 weeks of general tiredness before I could get back on the bike for a mile or 2... I was careful to give myself plenty of rest for them 2 weeks and took it easy for about 2 months after.

Mate got PTSD after his (in his 30s)...

Got my invitational letter for the vaccination this AM so first appointment next week then second at the start of June.

I understand that Long "X" while not common is actually fairly typical of most of these type of viruses, it's just not named as such in most cases. In the case of Covid-19 it's the lung damage that's the problem.

Titles a bit misleading John, it hasn't ended yet and it could still be delayed if the hard of thinking decide to take matters into their own hands.
I know in some parts, lockdown is pretty much ignored already but it doesn't help when you post "daily mirror" type headlines just to get people reading it.

This is what concerns me. With a daughter really struggling with the after effects of COVID it seems fundamentally wrong that there isn’t more of a response to the people with occupationally acquired COVID.

In most places, if someone got that ill from work there would be more of a fuss... if you see what I mean? It doesn’t seem right that so many staff have got so ill. Will there be an enquiry/investigation/redress?
