Short spin this afternoon to test the rear pack sway when loaded with my Tent, not as bad as expected

Based on packing already, i'm assuming we won't cross paths as i'm not going for a week or so yet!

That saddle pack will sit much better if you close it up right. Stand holding the back wheel between your knees and roll the bag up the way. Then the straps will pull it upwards, not downwards as you have it.

Just home, that was gloriously, beautiful & brutal, I am a happy but broken man. Will hopefully "pen" a few words at a later date

That's not a mug dangling off that seatpack is it? .

Did the "droop" bother you in the end? If not, no probs obviously. My AK Koala has two "sleeves" along the bottom of the inside into which I've put two thin fibreglass "lolly sticks" to prevent droop - option on yours?

yes it is, came in very useful for filling the bag for my water filter

The droop was never there at the start of each day, but when it did appear it annoyed me a lot

I can't have missed you by much in the end, I started riding on the Thursday. Can confirm glorious, beautiful and brutal. Especially the non-stop rain for 40 miles of Friday! Now just to go through the many many photos and plan the next trip up there!

Maybe the start of a BB annual Galloway tour? Give me the non stop rain over a strong headwind any day
