I'm in. Look forward to seeing everyone again. Hope, if you haven't got too many already, to join you again Reg?
P.S. I had the blue room last year. Not bad.

Despite lurking around here making the odd pithy and probably unhelpful comment on threads on a regular basis, I'm yet to attend an "official" (winter bivvys presumably don't count) event, largely because driving to Wales for me involves driving for a long time through places where lots of other people drive cars. I thought this was going to change that, partly because I seem to have unintentionally put together a run of bivvies-a-month and the Winter Event seems like a good way to semi-intentionally continue it. Imagine my mild disappointment when I stopped dithering and looking at the calendar to find that it has sold out! I had no idea sleeping in a ditch in January was so popular.

To get to the point, is it bad form to practice my sad puppy eyes and get my begging bowl out? Apart from anything else, an old mate with zero bikepacking experience has just told me he's signed up, and I would like to ensure he doesn't die. Do carers go free?

Looks like I may miss both the winter bivi and winter event by foolishly booking my charge into maintenance in Dallas between 16th Dec and 10th Jan. I have an entry paid for the winter event and if it looks likely that I won’t make it back then I’ll be offering it back to Stu to pass on.

Mind you it will be a late call

Anyone know a good location for a Xmas bivi in that area?
