Been sneaking a few things through to test the water :-bd alpkit gourdon 20 in stealth yellow, couple of dry bags and a fuel pod. Smart Sam 700 x 35s. And the now 30 year old trangia resurrection continues with o-rings and a triangular windshield. (Think the suggestion/huge hint of Ti mug for fathers day has fallen on the correct ears as well)

Titanium Goat bivi hit the doormat today. Tiny pack size and incredibly light but it's not for me. It'll be making its way into the classified forum soon.

Love the material, zip detail and build quality but didn't like being zipped up in it with mesh across my face. If I didn't zip up the bug net and had my head out, it felt a little short and potentially drafty. At 6.3" it felt a little snug too.
After comparing it to my MYOG bivi I thought that if I add a half zip and sized it down a little, I'd prefer it. Its 225g and is just a tiny bit bigger than the TiGoat when packed.

The TIGoat a nice piece of kit, however, everyone has there preference and mine, I'm finding, is draw card, Hunka style, bivi but with a half or 3/4 zip to aid getting in & out. I feel this allows me to synch it up and feel much warmer.

Yes, when I used mine they broke
To be fair, they were the very early alloy ones which were replaced promptly. If you've got the steel ones, I'm sure they're bomb-proof.

My recently delivered Fix-it Sticks look very sturdy, if a little on the heavy side for weight weenies...

Looks good. Needs black grips though, imo ;)

Also, the shape of the Lioness is designed to go under the loop of the Jones bar, without compromising access to the zip :geek:

Hasn't been again...

Ordered at 10am Thursday. To work, manned desk 24hrs

Not next day tyres...

I wouldn't mind if not for the name

*i should add, only half a dig at next day tyres as they dispatched (according to email) same day, but if you're gonna use that name, perhaps first class post isn't the best service to choose for wired tyres

Just saying

Oh I was looking at the DMO website the other day. Very tempted. Looks a very nice machine. How does it ride?

Love it.
Riding rigid again after nearly 10 years of some form of bounce was an eye opener but that's a rider problem rather than a bike problem.
Only used my older 29er once since I got my mitts on the Element.

It is my 40th in a few days and I have been seriously eyeing up the Planet-X XLS carbon cross bike for some time. But I unexpectedly spent £400 on a replacement fridge freezer instead. Oh well.
But the £85 Thermarest Neoair Xlite mat was too irristable

Received a nice pair of Pole-a-Bears yesterday having looked at them at the WRT, thanks Stu/Dee
Should stop me cannibalising the tents for poles to go with the tarp now!
