Can't believe you've gone and purchased from someone other than Stu. Well out of order

Not raining?? That could be quite a shock to the system. Hope you've made suitable psychological preparations!

My Garmin watch and a Rivelo softshell jacket from SportPursuit. The latter looks too nice for biking so might be pub wear. πŸ˜‰

I bought the Harvey SDW map last week. Needed it for a trip and couldn't get one delivered in time, bought it from Stanfords in London in person so wasn't the postie. Found it amusing that I had to travel from somewhere local to the SDW to London to get it (just a minor

If anyone is in London and looking for something to do, go to Stanfords. It's seriously amazing shop

… and brought me a lovely pair (?) of On One Geoff handlebars😎. I have pukka Jones Loops on the Jones, but have made do with some tiny Humpert bars on the Rooster, my bikepacking bike. They’ve been ok, narrow at 630mm vs the Geoffs at 720mm. My Jones are only 660mm So these may take a little getting used to. I’ve wrapped them slightly differently and suspect I’ll be re doing the Jones in due course. A quick spin and they feel flippin great😎

Pair of 30mm Hutchinson Fusion 5 Performance Storm tubeless tyres. Decided it was time to try tubeless on the road bike. Conti gp4000s in 28mm size up as 31mm on the bike,so hoping the 30mm Hutchinsons are true to size and will fit. Also some 75mm tubeless valves for the deep carbon rims

Yesterday the postie delivered a Mora underquilt for the hammock, from the Alpkit Spacemaker sale...

EDIT: the 30mm Hutchinsons went up easy but size up at only 29mm rather than the 31mm of the 28mm Conti gp4000ii's  We'll see if running them at only 60-65 psi makes them a little more comfy though...

Well I went to collect a brother twin needle industrial sewing machine. in a previous life it sewed pat ches on parachutes..
it felt like a long drive Huddersfield to Banbury & back.
(I seem to have plotted a route linking up all the road works err that is.. road construction works :???: ) .
I tried it out perfect. a bargain at just about 3 figure with the table included...
now to clean and reassemble/ retread the 'begar'. only 8 thread tensioner to thread correctly...
.. 2 needles & 2 lbobins
Image
it needle feed for even, non slippage stitching..

I hope there's No bother in Brother....

He should have brought my new Alpkit windproof but a stock error means they don't actual have the size I wanted :| Of course, they're being helpful in sorting it out as best they can, so this isn't a complaint.
He did bring my last payslip and P45 though

Last as in "final one before retirement"?

If so, I'm somewhat jealous

I have jokingly referred to myself as currently "retired", but I'm only 33 so sadly it's a temporary situation
