Free Stuff - Updated 6/09

Post by GregMay »

I'm in the process of clearing out my bike stuff. Thus, there is about to be a lot of free stuff. AKA, postage + beer money. Postage can be offset by meeting me in Manchester mid week - or Hebden Bridge at the weekend. The latter will probably work out more expensive as we'll probably go for a ride then drink several beers. Hard times it is.

Anything that does not go by the end of the month is going to our local cycle recycle place. Photos available on request.

Big Things:
1) Ay-Up light set - 1 epic battery, 1 small battery, two light units, charger, fixing points - one old battery that i think is not working. All in a nice Pelicase - Gone to slackman99

Small Things:
1) 9 speed cassettes * 5 - various ratios, ask and i'll check
2) Seatposts - I can spot a 27.2, a 31.8, and a few other random sizes.
2.1) USE bouncy post in 27.2 - Gone to mje25
3) Cranksets - FSA Gossamer Megaexo road standard , FSA ISIS TT/tri chainset.
3.1) Shimano LX old style Gone to ctznsmith
3.2) SRAM X7 Gone to off forum friend
3.3) FSA road compact ISIS with unused Crank Bros BB Gone to off forum friend
3.4) BB30 road FSA compact Gone to IanB
4) LX 9 speed shifters * 2 fr + rear. Gone to off forum friend
5) 26inch race blades -I have no idea where these came from! Gone to Stu
6)OVAL start bar - may have the armrests somewhere, extensions are on my Divide bike.

Bikes:
20 inch Onza trials bike - or most of it. I think it needs some brakes. Gone to Stu

Forks:
Old Planet X Uncle John Cross carbon fork - canti studded. Gone to Anthony
Genesis Vapour disc CX fork. Gone to Steve

Frames:
Specialized Langster - size 46 I think - fork/headset/stem/seatpost/bars - think I even have saddle and seatpost for it - maybe wheels....
1) CX frames Spesh Crux Gone to off forum friend
2) MTB (29er) On-One ScandAl Gone to off forum friend

More to come after I get to the pile of wheels and randoms later tonight.

Hi Greg, I'll take the USE seatpost if that is ok (assuming it is at least 300mm long). I can either meet you in Manchester or pop up to Hebden. Let me know when is good for you.
Thanks Mark

I could also be interested in one of the CX frames if they're big enough.

slackman99, mje25, ctznsmith - PM'd you or just put it to reserved.

Naffa - CX frame will be in 56 - Specialized Crux, slight ding in TT - awaiting refusal from mate first, which is unlikely.

Paulb/Taylor - they are Giro lids, size large - can dig out photos tonight. - Paul has first refusal on style colour. I'll dump photos onto flickr and you can look there.

Pat - You've got second dibs on lights

Cyclingtiger - you're about 4th on the CX frame

HUX - all 9 speed, all look like road or CX use only, no MTB ones - ranges look like 11-22 / 12-28 - any use?

RobLyon - pretty sure I've a few - any minimum length you need?

Thanks Greg, if the first dibbee wants to split, I'd be happy with one light unit and a battery? Worth a shot! :0)

I could get some use out of a 27.2 seatpost - especially an inline one. I'm Manchester based.

26inch race blades -I have no idea where these came from!
Ooh these might fit my Trucker. Any chance of carting them across to the BB200 Greg in exchange for extra toast?

hey greg, if you still have the uncle john canti forks I would be interested. Thinking for my surly to get a bit of weight off it from the steel forks.

If you know the steerer length that would be great, otherwise if they don't fit i'll offer them free again as a pass on to someone else who finds them useful.
