I've ridden quite a bit up there. Trouble is, there isn't just a single route so it's impossible to say how much you'll be riding / walking / carrying. Do you have a link for the route in mind?

Yes, either north berwyn way pwth and the riute from corwen to pyst y r.

The north berwyn is away marked route and the other I picked upn
on the Corwen walking festival site

By main road to get pyr you'd have to rrop down Oswestry or Welshpool which seems wome distance from Corwen but the path is 21km/12miles

Corwen to Pistell Rhaeadr on a bike I'd head down into Cynwyd (or even Llandrillo) and head SWish to pick up the track that leads to the Wayfarer track then down to Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, from there, there are plenty of bridal ways / tracks that you can link up to Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant and then up to Pistil Rhaeadr.

If heading to the waterfall, what would your ultimate end point be?

I haven't looked at the details but are these not footpaths in whole or part?
