What GPS does everyone use to save carrying loads of maps on multi day epics and how do you go about re-charging? cheers

Garmin Oregon 450

AA batteries available from any Spar/Co-op in Mid Wales.

Garmin eTrex 20 and 30 are popular. Anything that runs on AA batteries rather than an in-built battery is the best bet for multi-day stuff.

Garmin Oregon 550, love it. I find the OS and interface excellent.
Loads of features, easy batteries.

Mine flew into the Bridgewater canal once, when I hit some cobblestones at speed.
Gutted- went in after it, and could see it floating about 2 feet from the bottom.
And it still works fine.
