Spotwalla

Post by biggaygibbon »

I use a Spot device and got the annual subscription last year. However I have just come across spotwalla. If I use this service do I still need by spot subscription or can I do away with it?

Anyone have any experience?

Cheers.

It takes the data from your spot device feed... so yes, you need the subscription.

As above. You still need to subscribe.

Spotwalla is great for longer trips though as you can "pre-load" your intended track. (well worth subscribing/donating if you are going to use it).

I have used it a couple of times and it does appear to be a bit temperamental. On one trip (Just a day) it only showed the last half even though all the gps points were on the findmyspot site and app. Any other alternatives?
