Well he replied to me yesterday! He currently has 55 items for sale and is able to get any garmin map you want. The price has nearly doubled though. You just need to ask !

Just downloaded the free one I found from Germany, http://www.wanderreitkarte.de/garmin_de.php and it works perfectly.
Loaded onto my gps and uploaded the 2015 route onto my gps, all good.

Did you put it onto a card or straight on?

Put it onto the sd card I use for the original garmin maps and the sweary dave maps. I had plenty of space on there. I took it out of the garmin and put it in a card reader.
If a computer chump like me can use it, anyone can.

I put it on a spare sd card i've got (not enough room on my dazzler one), then tried it in my Oregon but it doesn't seem to work. I am chimp level when it comes to computers though

Dave's mapping is on the same card & i could never get that to work either!

Are you disabling the regular maps then enabling the Dave maps/Italy maps?

The dazzler maps are on their own card. Daves & zee German one are both on the same sd card, saved in a folder called Garmin. With the sd card in the Oregon when i go into settings then maps they're not listed..

I'm just having another go now..

After a fair bit off faffing, due to my computers memory being 'full' i've finally managed to sort the maps out, & what fine maps they are! Also now put all my maps onto 1 sd card..

Thanks for the link Taylor :-bd

If anyone's interested, i also contacted dazzler & he said that they should be able to supply pretty much any map..

I was under the impression that you could only have one map on each garmin?

Is that not the case?

Not a problem for the TT for the Turin - Nice two will be needed.

You can, afaik, have as many maps as you can fit on one sd card. For Torino-Nice you would need 2 maps and when you get to the edge of one, you would need to disable the first(italy) then enable the second(france).

So you'd have more than one folder each with a gmapsupp (or whatever it's called) file in it?

Where would one activate/deactivate maps within the device?

Assuming it's a Garmin,

Settings/setup
Map
Map information/Select map
"Disable" the one you don't want showing then "Enable" the one you do.

As Taylor says^

I've now got all the maps in a folder called 'garmin' on the sd card. But what i'm also going to do is have copies on the sd card that will be in my phone as back up..

On my Oregon at present i've got all the maps enabled, but the os seems to take precedent in the uk, but i can zoom out then head over to Italy & you can actually see the boundary were the map starts & there doesn't seem to be any conflict with the os mapping..

New route not been given out yet.
I got 2015 route from gpsies or somewhere like that. The start is in a completely different direction this year. I just downloaded it to try out the Italy mapping.

anyone had problems registering? I've been trying for 2 days but not received anything back. It now tells me my email address is registered so I've requested a password reset but still nothing. :|

Nothing in there either. I've been tying from an iPad, maybe comparability issues? I'll dig out the laptop, fire that up and try again.
Thanks Chew

Sorted, it didn't like my hotmail email for some reason so I had to use a different one.
Couple of quick questions:
What are people filling in for personal identification number?
What about medical insurance/personal insurance code? Is this travel insurance or EU medical card?
Thanks.
