Only the other day I saw this chap in the ACA's portrait gallery. He followed the 25th Infantry's route. Plenty of interesting stories in that ACA gallery, a refreshing lack of blog-polish and radavism among them. Retired guys crossing the US, families taking the kids on the Bikecentennial ride where they met, that sort of thing.

I'd read a really good account of that trip somewhere - can't for the life think of me where. I was a really stunning idea for a trip.
