Anyone have any idea why when I save a GPX I've plotted in OS Maps and then load it back into Bikehike to convert it into a TCX file, it doubles the length and climbing of the ride?
It's the same if I take a known route from Bikehike into OSMaps and then back.
It gave me a scare as it seemed I was suddenly doing a significantly longer Bach to Bach than I'd planned.
OS Maps ride route length.

How many meters per km is it giving you?
Wales is roughly 25
You'll always get different values from different systems +/- 10%

Re: OS Maps ride route length.
Are you sure it's not going round twice in bikehike or something if it's doubling both numbers?
Re: OS Maps ride route length.
Mmm, yes that's what it's doing, going round twice. I've got no idea why though, but when I scroll along the elevation chart It's doing two laps. Well at least I know that the shorter distance is the right one then. Thanks
Re: OS Maps ride route length.
You might find that via the gpx code you can reverse the course. That's why it seams to be doubling it. When it's actually the track coded to go out, then back to the start. If you drop a gpx into bytons mapping system then back it does this.
