Temperature and wind are my main concerns. Water coming from the sky is just a Welsh normality.Image

mainly hope its not cold so i can get a couple of hours ok sleep at some point, my bike packing sleeping bag is verry small and light (down bag but comfort is lke 5 degrees, but it does pack down to the height of a coke can ) hahaha so leads to some rather interesting nights huddling in a cold damp bivy (this sport is so fun)

I don't really care about the cold (I'll be carrying my down jacket)... but I really don't want it to be rainy. Finishing will be a struggle as is, and I'm going to get massively frustrated if my wheels are slipping out all over the place whilst pedalling along.

Easy to do if there is a large differential between daytime and night time temperatures.

The Norwegians have put up a more positive outlook today - I am feeling almost optimistic

Well, that's scuppered that then!

Nearly at the time I start to trust the forecasts a little more.

Norwegians reckon cloudy, 10°C day and night, light easterly, no rain. I'll take that please. :-bd

Was riding home along the canal in a thunderstorm last night chuckling to myself - suddenly the almighty cockup of double booking a trip to Ireland and the BB200 I'm missing no longer seems as bad :)

Forecast looks lovely now, almost ideal conditions. Even the cloud cover on Sat night will be a bonus :-bd

Yep ... that clear sky will mean it'll get pretty chilly overnight otherwise.

I'm still sporting the scars from the toothy gits I acquired in the Peak last week, they'll do well to find any fresh skin on me.

Seems to be very hit and miss at the moment. The b'stards should be dead by now but they keep popping back up when you're not expecting them.

Considering the reasonable dry forecast, tempted to not carry 'full' waterproof jacket. Just a lighter 'shower' type.
Daft idea?

It's a gamble* but given the settled forecast, it's one that should pay off.
