An Early Fat Bike?

Post by whitestone »

A RoadCC link popped up in my Twitter feed about a weight weenie test. At the top of the page was a shot of an early fat bike - http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.imdserve.com/i ... 700-80.jpg

FYI I was told that I couldn't give a damn about bike weights and that I shouldn't live in a hilly part of the country

Great bars and fork .. there's nothing new out there. I guess that pre-dates the old motorbikes that used girder or truss forks also?

Possible James although it's hard to date the picture in the link. I recall the first motorcycle manufacturer to use them was Ariel sometime in 1913.

Hmm. Just the job for the highland trail, I wonder if they do it in carbon?

I was going to witter on about the use of girder forks on motorcycles but I'll spare you all....
