Might be able to help with this if you get stuck..Ian wrote: Last time I got something turned down on a lathe, the guy charged me £20. I doubt it would be worth it in the long run..
And while we're on the subject does anybody want to buy a lathe?

Ian
Try contacting Rory Hitchins on Facebook
I was at the recent Aggregate 100 gravel enduro race a few weeks back and he had a lot of the TRP in development stuff hanging off his bike including these forks. As he is part of the TRP crew I am sure he could help you out!

There's an inverter with it Chris, also know someone who might sell their Myford Super 7 inc base if you're interested..Zippy wrote: Yes, but I need somewhere to put it...and I don't have 3 phase mains either.
Tbh i know they're one of those things that would be 'handy to have', but the reality is unless you're really into that sort of thing, or something like model building, it may rarely get used & just ends up taking up space. My dads got a lathe & milling machine & is more than happy to do the odd job as it means he gets to use his!

Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
A bit more space, a bit more free time etc, I'll get one. Not quite the right time atm...
I'll contact you in 5 years time. In the meantime, I'll put requests into your Dad

SJS Cycles are usually pretty good for rack adapters/extensions/extras/spares and that kind of stuff...petemaz wrote:I'm looking to knock up a myog type seatpost support mount (kinda similar idea to the porcelain rocket Mr fusion) and am trying source some of these (or similar ):

Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
I have already tried this, but I used the arms that came with my tortec ultralight rack, and a seatpost adapter, it works perfectly with zero seatpack movement, easy to take off and after sewing up a trampoline to fit between the bars, doubles as a mud guard when emptypetemaz wrote:I'm looking to knock up a myog type seatpost support mount (kinda similar idea to the porcelain rocket Mr fusion) and am trying source some of these (or similar ):

That'd be great Jameso. .. pm 555 at Yahoo dot com.
Haywire..I've sketched a rough plan of what I want to build... I also found some extender arms from an old rack to use for a prototype ..(!) Just waiting on a clamp with rack mounts coming and then I'll dig out the sewing machine!

Yeah I've ordered a similar one...
Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
Non-tapered, 100mm suspension corrected, standard qr, 29+ carbon forks with anything cage mounts. Does it exist?
i.e. a non-tapered fork, non 15mm axle firestarter fork.

If steel is an option, there's a surly ogre fork on the classifieds that fits the bill....ctznsmith wrote:Non-tapered, 100mm suspension corrected, standard qr, 29+ carbon forks with anything cage mounts. Does it exist?

Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
Yeah saw that and realised it's bargain. So I've messaged the seller.
However the inner weight weenie... ;-)

Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
I'm after a 140mm (or close) single ring, square taper crankset that will take a 28t chainring. It for a child's bike so don't want to spend a fortune.
Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
I seem to have broken this thread with my challenge.
After much searching I still haven't found anything.
Maybe a 152mm might be easier to find
A trails crankset that might work if I could find one

Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
Tarty Bikes would be the place to look for Trials cranks but often they have a freewheel on the crank, so whether they'd work?
May the bridges you burn light your way
Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
SJS sell Thorn 140mm cranks that should take a 28t ring, although as they're double/triple cranks you end up an odd chainline/q-factor depending on the set up.Nevis wrote:I seem to have broken this thread with my challenge.

Do BMX cranks go that short? Do you have any old cranks you could just chop, drill and tap some new threads in?
Re: The 'Find me this' thread.
@Nevis - there's a 152mm triple sitting here (42/36/24)...my wife had it on a Raleigh SUB years ago but had it switched for 165. A few marks on it, but it might do in a pinch. PM me if you want it...just need to cover postage.

I'm after Exposure Revo bundle (light and hub) or wheel build deals? Anyone seen any on offer anywhere?
