Yes, I'm sure it would, but then it would get sweaty/ clammy.
The back bottle has ribs so it doesn't get sweaty - whether that makes it hideously uncomfortable or not, I don't know...

I just can't visualise that at all. Looks erm...hard/uncomfortable.

Plus I hate things that fall over when you try to put them down, I'm bad enough at knocking flat bottomed bottles over!
I couldn't get my head around the pictures either - had to watch the video.
At least if it's lying flat you can't knock it over and spill it - it prompts you to keep the lid shut, otherwise it will spill everywhere.

I think the idea of the backbottle being rigid is so it can be easily pushed into a jersey pocket one handed.

I like it - seems a good idea.

This Klean Kanteen holds 1.2l and fits in an alpkit stem cell. Can fit two on the handlebars.

I've made a copy of the Stem Cell but with the dimension altered to fit a 750ml bottle, so it's taller and narrower. I also carry another 750mm or 1000ml bottle in my frame bag. If I was lucky enough to be out in Wales/Lakes/Scotland I'd just carry the one bottle on the bars but clear mountain streams are a bit scarce on the Isle of Wight

Now I have a frame bag I'm looking for an alternative to carrying water myself. I currently use an Alpkit Stemcell to carry a bottle but like the idea a few people have mentioned about having a bottle on the inside of the seatpost or top tube.

What are people using to mount bottle in these places?

cheers

Before I switched to a full frame bag I used these - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/elite-vip-bottle-cage-clamps/

They work well and allowed me to use a revelate tangle bag and a 750ml bottle on a medium frame.

I still use them on my other bike
