Loving the look of those bars. Might try a set myself. Sadly the forks fall into the category of something only a mother could loveJohnClimber wrote:Good spot, I've only ridden it in the street.mountainbaker wrote:^^ That saddle position?
I know things will need changing a little as I ride it but that needs changing NOW, but it's raining and I CBA'ed going out to the garage atm.
More photos in my blog, link belows8tannorm wrote:I know it's wrong but I can't help but like it ... although the forks do look like they're 1/10 of a bizarre musical instrument.

Re: The post man's been ...
a pair of aest magnesium pedals with titanium axles shipped from HK for £35. They are a bit of an experiment as they allegedly weight sub 80g each. the closet weight weenie in me thought it was worth a go...
85mm wide, 96mm long and 16mm thick. guessing they won't suit folk with big feet.
and a frame bag and CK crown race from Artie thanks

Re: The post man's been ...
First up, the Inbred i picked up off ianfitz last weekend!
Secondly, the white rims from Merlin cycles to go on it! Along with a pair of mountain king tyres and tubes! Forgot to order rim tape, so I shall grab some tomorrow ahead of building it all up on Sunday
Its certainly going to be interesting to see how it all looks! Not too fussed as once i take the bits off my 456 it stands me at a little over £300!

AdMan Re the carbon fork bung product code FSPXFCENT does work, believe me, it has an aluminium sleeve which when removed fits the thicker wall steerer fine. Ask them to swap it.

Re: The post man's been ...
Got home just now to find a parcel containing some brand new DMR V12 pedals which came with the subscription to MBUK that I finally sorted. Lovely pedals - really light, low profile and nice smooth bearings. Only trouble is I thought they would be black and they're red - a really bright red and I just don't do red pedals, not on a yellow and black bike. Nope. So the ManChild snaffled them for his Meta4, gleefully pointing out how nicely they match the red highlights on his wheels, seat and grips.
I'm just going outside ...

The final piece of the puzzle, an 180mm IS mount for the Inbred. Paid a couple of quid more to get it from Harry Halls today, but means the bike should be on the road this evening! Thinking of some mucky nutz fenders for it now.

Re: The post man's been ...
Over the past week I have had:
Cable to go from Revo to Dynamo.
New (2nd hand) XTR pedals
40t extender cog from OneUp
And I am waiting on a carbon repair kit to give the chainstay on the Dirty Harry some extra reinforcement after a fair bit of chainsuck damage (which now I am 1x10 I am hoping is a thing of the past).
Still need a new rear tyre and a bottle of sealant. Then it's upgrade the CX bike time which is new wheels, bars, stem, saddle, tyres, drivetrain, brakes (everything except the frame!).

Re: The post man's been ...
Artie, found it on eBay. There's a few exposure light charging cables with a USB on the other end - just cut the USB connector off and solder the ends up and it should work. Exposure sell them as well but I think they are quite expensive, but the charging cables I found were £2.99 or so, not sure how long they are but they are easily extended with speaker cable, heat shrink and a soldering iron.
