If you'd gone to the pub you'd have missed the rave.
That may not be entirely true. :???:

Just sorting out train tickets. Am correct in thinking Caersws is the nearest train station to the start?

I'm 100% certainly I've asked this before!

Yes it is. Look on the map and eide to the start via Trefeglwys and Staylittle ... much nicer than the main road.

To be honest ... I don't even notice it when I'm out.

hi, it's our first year of entry and we are looking forward to it.
If we wanted to arrive on the Friday evening and camp, near the start somewhere, would that be possible at all?
have a longish drive and we didn't really fancy it on the Saturday morning.
also there will be 3 of us in one car if that helps the parking out at all.
cheers

Sadly, no camping at the start. It is something we've looked at but it's no go.

This place is a couple of miles from the start: http://dolgadfanfarmcampsite.co.uk/

I'm off on the Friday before the WRT and travelling across from London. Was thinking about going to BPW and staying overnight in the Brecon Beacons somewhere.....

Yeah you can.

I'll be on my Scott 29er with front suspension. Ridden it there before and it was fine. Stayed off the black runs though!

If we arrive at about 11.45, will we have missed the raffle and weigh in etc? I don't think so, but id rather check and be right than not check and be wrong! :-bd

You should know by now that the WRT is like a well oiled precision machine ............... that someone has dropped a great big spanner into. I imagine that Taylor will still be dishing out abusive comments at his 'weigh in' booth, Chew will still pounce on you and demand a pound for the sweepstake and I won't quite have got round to sorting the raffle out by 11.45.

I'll be under the shelter with bucket loads of abuse to hurl at people with heavy bikes. :-bd
Owners of bikes lighter than mine won't escape the tirade either.

If you've not met me, think of Dave, but with more swearing.

Dave wins though, he may swear less but at least we can make out the words he's using. :-bd

Hi All - I may be going crazy, but can't seem to find anywhere on the forum or the online site for WRT that shows where the start point is or the closest city / station to the start point. Would be great to find out to help me plan.

Thx!
