I'm quite happy with my score of 24

as probably one of the few people to actually sleep in a bus shelter (WRT 2012) I'll take that as the one and only time I'm ever going to out trump Ian :-bd

23. Must admit I like my bike to have brakes and my food choice is stuff I like. No 3's though - all 1's and 2's.

A not unreasonable 25 here.
I had a great nights sleep in a bus shelter on Kintyre - more like a transparent bothy.
Gravy on chips is just wrong though, a proud 3 there.

26! I'm quite pleased. Not as much of a softie as I thought after all. Would have done better if I knew how to use a spoke spanner.
Gravy on chips = boke
Worn clothes for 3 weeks on the trot, worn my knickers inside out or gone without - disgusting but true.

I'm sorry, but I dispute some of the questions

Bus shelter - I'm proper, me. Open air or under a tarp, surely a bus shelter is a woosing out?!

Gravy - as above. That is regionally biased

Nutrition - where is flapjack and cake?

(I might be needing to adjust my score here)

You need to cross a knee deep river, do you?

I missed the option of riding it through

Depends on the bus shelter, the location and the alternative. I'd say that a bus shelter in an urban area is the height of bravery, whereas something in the back of beyond is perhaps slightly less brave.

The shelters on rural train platforms though are the height of luxury as nobody goes there once the trains stop and some of them even have doors.

In my defence it was very late, pitch black and monsoon like weather... suddenly this bus stop appeared out of nowhere. It was full of birds, bird sh*t and every time a car drove past it lit us all up like Blackpool illuminations but I don't think many people would've passed it up to be honest.

Technically I'd just class it as an urban bothy!

Can I suggest not bedding down for the night in the one outside the Sligachan Inn unless you want an altercation with a drunk who decides to give your bivvy bag a kick.

Hang on, I did bivvy under the tourist information thing in the main car park at Blair Atholl, after my Hope hub failed on the Cairngorms Loop and I had to abort the route. It's a bit like a bus shelter

I reckon bivvying on Corris rugby pitch / in the dugout is a legitimate bus shelter alternative.

Surprised to score 24. I'm slightly less of a softie than I thought!

For future reference, the waiting room on the train platform is lovely. No door but benches big enough for a sleeping mat - it was my 2012 Cairngorms Loop finishing venue after the hotel was full up.

19.

It's the food and Lycra. I need Mayonnaise with me chips and hide Assos pants beneath real clothing.

Always enjoy vagabonding...

22-24... worn clothes more than 48hrs, less than a week, and levers depends on the tyre, but no help ;)

I was against the gravy on chips, too... then Canadians intro'd me to Poutine. And since moving to Australia, my Sister-in-law has enlightened me to the restorative power of a chip and gravy sandwich, especially when hungover...
