June - YD300
August - Welsh Coast to coast ITT

My wife and I are doing it from the map in late August :0)
I'm hoping to do it during the event in May.

I wouldn't call what I do racing by any stretch of the imagination but I'll be pootling as fast as my semi-useless legs will carry me.

I'll let you know what the route is like.

.....Demand to see a map of any route planned by yetiman at least a few days before a trip to check for monster climbs, river crossings, bogs, tussock potential and an escape plan. I will also require a written guarantee that 'nearly there pal' means exactly that and that 'about 20 miles' doesn't mean 30+!

Rovaniemi 150 and that's it really. Might buy a cross bike and race next season and after reading singletrack this month, exploring River Findhorn may be on the cards

Transcontinental entry is in, so riding everywhere in preparation for that mainly.
And big negotiations to get to Kiwi end to end in 2016 which falls in same holiday allowance year.
Off Road might take more of a backseat.....but then I spotted a potential Welsh 200 thing ;-) Ian

After been signed up by Michael at Travers Bikes to be his Northern Brand Ambassador for his 29er+'s the Angus and Rudy Fat, plus the new 2nd generation Fat Race Fat Bike that arrives in early March, which I'm also really dead chuffed about :-bd

Although not racing as such my 2015 so far looks like this, all of which will go towards my annual 5000 mainly off road mileage target
Jan = Ford Fiesta
May - WRT
May = Leeds Liverpool canal double
June = Yorkshire Dales 300
August = Sandstone trail, Hadrians wall, beach riding from Newcastle to Berwick
Sept = Mary Townley Loop

Plus bivi rides, beach riding/bivi'ing, mid week micro adventures, a bit of blogging and lot of photography and some filming as well.

Organize a company bike pack trip
Try to sleep out with just a tarp- I've been a tent camper all my life
Try to do a full audax series- but no PBP- too many people
Do a few short rde trips on the weekends

Ride the south downs way (made possible with tips and help from a few of the guys from the forum). And take part in BB200.
Always do the right thing... Just because it's the right thing to do.

Do a "full season" of ITTs as I had planned this year but not get scuppered by a bad knee this time.

YD300
Peak ITT
maybe Manx100
BB200+
Cairngorm loop
To name but a few.

I'm at 13 months continued biving so would like to be at 25months by the end of 2015.

Actually finish the WC2C after 2 failed attempts this year. Maybe south to north though to break from convention.

So many things I'd like to achieve, if I can avoid the usual pitfalls, including:

- Bivi a month
Apr - Wales ITT(?) / Liege-Bastogne-Liege Sportive
May - Cairngorm Loop / HTR
June - Norway Artic Exped (Road Cycling) / YD 300
Jul - Peak ITT(?) / CTR
Aug - Breck Epic / Welsh C2C
Sept - tbc
Oct - BB200+

And at some point build the bikepacking iron horse I've always wanted based on my Traverse Ti frame.

Events don't appeal. Each to their own and all that.

I've never been a "distance" rider so, even if it's a pretty non-specific thing, I'd like to go longer

- try to actually post on this forum instead of merely lurking
- use the GoPro the OH bought me for Christmas to make some videos

.., as genuine targets seem to have gone down in likelihood of completion the more I focus on them in previous years, this year I am loathe to focus on goals but instead hope to sneak up on some achievements without them noticing.

Keep riding.*

*if you knew the injuries / damage I carry then that will be more of a achievement than it sounds.

Find some one to look after our cats so we can go hike the PCT.
So less riding and more hiking for me.

Three trips I planned for early 2015 where undertaken in 2014

There still that 320 km trip across the Jura I tried in late April 2014 and failed to complete.
And many 2-3 day trips in the Alps.

Other stuff:
5 days in Iceland in Jan for some sightseeing, hiking, camping, northern lights and trying to get some information on a probably very stupid idea concerning Iceland in winter...
A weekend in Edinburgh with friends during Burn's night.

I'd like to complete all of Stu's events (FF, WRT and BB200)

Last year I managed 10/12 on the Bivy a month challenge, I'd like to get the complete set but sometimes it felt like I was going out just to get a tick and not necessarily for the right reason.

So I reckon it's just get out and enjoy myself a bit more even if it means fewer trips (if that makes sense?).

Oh yes and definitely another fat bike trip to Anglesey with Jeff and co.
Wait for me...
