Hey Stu,

Any chance of a book review when you're done? Looks like an interesting book.

Look on the bright side, we each posted the same link so we're either equally brilliant in our deduction of which was the right one to go for, or we're both going to be as lost as each other when it comes to the race...

You don't have to read it, just think it

Cheers chaps  I'll be ordering those soon

Spoke to the organisers and they claim no GPS is needed as its all waymarked! Not quite sure I'd trust myself in the middle of nowhere with no map nor GPS (I've tried looking for maps but no luck)

Not especially exciting, but today I got some mucky nutz guards for the fat bike, and a new rear skewer.

A rather handy adaptor to convert my Mavic 15mm hub to a 5mm QR - nice to have more wheel swopping options!

Montbell hut booties and some new moleskin...gotta look after the feet after a day in the saddle.
A new nano packtowel as the last one suffered a horrible death at the hands of SPF70 sunscreen. That stuff just doesn't wash out.

My new Wildcat Lioness arrived t'other day but my daughter nabbed it, wrapped it and put it under the tree before I could even fondle it, let alone do the obligatory test fitting.
I'm just going outside ...

The postman was almost about to be on his way to mine but.....

(luckily for me as Mrs Boss would've bloody killed me)

.....I just narrowly lost an eBay auction for a 'retro as hell' Dave Marsh steel road frame and forks to replace my Kaffenback as my 'town-bike' (too stealable despite my best efforts).

Good dodge but it's only a matter of time until I get myself a Dave Marsh frame - so lovely!

Two pairs of Chinese clean sweep rotors for my Fat/Not Fat wheelset. About £12 for 4 with bolts!

Probably warp after one good stop!

I bought some cheap clean sweep rotors and was warned on here that the bolts are crap and may shear - dump them and use trusted bolts. Rotors are fine, maybe there was a load out there that were QC failed for OE use due to the bolts that ended up on ebay.
