Re: The Wessex Ridgeway
Funny write-up.
I'm never going to ride with you though. You appear to have some weird MTB-related jihad being waged against you so all your rides have a disproportionate amount of "character building" in them

Cracking adventure there. Thanks for sharing. Amusing and well crafted too unlike the usual "I did this - then that happened" write ups that so often blight our magazines )

Re: The Wessex Ridgeway
Brilliant!
Maybe we should all design a route for Dave to do which involves, say, a reasonable amount of climbing, some nice single track, plenty of easy double track and lots of nice views as it appears that every ride he does turns into an epic

I've just thrown a route together to try out in Stu's back garden its about 184miles as a route so u can prob add another 30 on for all the bends. Ya welcome to av a go Dave ;0) it has lots of hills a few bike hikes and plenty of overnight option's

Had a crack at this from East to West. Lasted 3 hours of the sort of sh1t you described before riding back to the van on the lanes! Some 'rides' are just not worth the misery!

Re: The Wessex Ridgeway
Jesus, going to the countryside in late summer and moaning about nettles and brambles is like going to a pub and moaning about the drunks.
