I can't believe I was in Wales over 3 days and saw nothing but blue skies! What incredible weather, absolutely perfect. Thanks again Stuart, Dee and everyone we met over the weekend, as usual it's the great company that makes for a great atmosphere.

Here are a few of the pictures that captured our trip-

Thanks Stu and Dee for a fantastic weekend.
Had a late start on sat and nearly the last back on sun and thankfully there was some cake left.
53 miles in total, met some great folk out there, picked up Chew along the way and had a good few hours night riding before heading off to our pitches( Hope you had a good night Chew!)
Great event, nice and chilled!! and thanks Stu for arranging the weather.
Hopefully see more of you at the WRT.

Help! i was going to share a few pics on here - but can't seem to get them to post.

Will try again later or chuck them in photobucket - but thought posting them directly would be quicker. Am i just being daft? :?

They need to be somewhere on the web already ... copy the URL of the pics, then click the img button above ^^ and paste the url between the img brackets when they appear on the screen ... it can't be hard 'cos I can do it ;)
May the bridges you burn light your way

Yet another "thank you" from me and Grace. It was our first bikepacking event, and with little practice at the art we were a little unsure how we'd fare. It was a truly great way to spend a weekend and we'll definitely be back for more. We can't wait for next year's event. In the mean time the next silly adventure with bikes & kit is already planned for Derbyshire in February!

Here's the story of our weekend: http://robdeanhove.blogspot.com/2012/01 ... -back.html

And here's a couple of pics should you not want to be sent to sleep reading about it!

Hey Rob,

Just read your post, I think it was me you saw bedded down at 2030  I did meet up with Nick after he battled through fallen trees, but then he pushed onwards towards Mach.

I was in my Bivi bag amoung the trees when you came along :) and you were gone in the morning before I had even moved! (I had a bit of a lay in).

Cheers Griffdowg, error now corrected!

Next overnight trip now planned for me & Grace too - can't wait :-)

Looking forward to seeing your gear choice for next year - perhaps a 36T cassette sprocket with a 20T granny up front?! ;)

Ha, looking at 29er 1.8 tyres, think they will fit and got my eye on a triple chainset running the 28/39 rings only. may fit the 36, but a 34 will proably suffice.
