Took my 15 year old out for a Friday night ride and bivi locally in the Peak. Beautiful night, nifty little spot and some great lessons learned - he is completely hooked so we are now shopping for various bits of kit. The temp did drop well below freezing and we awoke to a good layer of frost on everything!
View from the 'hotel'.
Two happy campers.
Dawn breaks bright.
Bit of frost on the tarp.
Son No2 emerging from his pit!
So, now looking for self inflating thermal mats, bivi bags that don't condensate as much, a better cammo tarp and more opportunities to head out.
First bivi this year
