Next weekend ideas

Post by JohnClimber »

Next weekend my name is down for the Whinlatter Challenge race and the wife has given me a pass the night before, but I'm not that bothered on the event.

So my plan is to drive away from home (Merseyside) at 4pm on Saturday 22nd March and arrive home about 4pm on Sunday 23rd.

Please inspire me with a suggested bivi ride idea or even a Fat Bike beach bivi ride idea

Anyone want to come and join me?

You're spoilt for choice really but:

Some nice spots on the side of ullswater by the BW the south west end of the lake.

Some off the beaten track spots above watenlath overlooking derwent water.

Lots of options in duddon valley both high and low.

Some 'roadside' spots in newlands and buttermere valleys that are still lovely.
