Tell me about it... Just mulled some wine (first of the season) because it seems medicinal. Good job the ScottishWB isn't this weekend!

Hope you've shrugged it off too... or maybe not actually - if I were planning a bivvy this weekend I'd be looking for any excuse to get out of it!

I think at the moment the slightly foggy brain and the somewhat elevated temperature are making me more blazee (?) about it than I normally would....thenorthwind wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 11:45 am Hope you've shrugged it off too... or maybe not actually - if I were planning a bivvy this weekend I'd be looking for any excuse to get out of it!
Felt like poo this morning but sort of maybe a bit better now... no doubt will be terrrible after two nights out, two days in the rain, and way too much time sat in pubs...

Re: What are you drinking now?
Oof, you west coaster, you!
Whisky wise, I can't see past Tamnavuillin (which is just up the road from my pals place), £20-odd quid a bottle from the Co-op. OK, it's a 'young' malt but it tastes fab, particularly the red wine cask edition.
Currently on a Jura, same source, also v nice.

Re: What are you drinking now?
Bought this ages ago. I've only just made a close inspection of the writing, or rather the numbers. Hmm. Oh well. Paging Mr 'Legs.....

Finally cracked this one open on Christmas Eve after 4 years sat in the cellar.
Absolutely brilliant.
Currently have a Põhjala/Sureshot collab impy stout in the fridge, may give that a go tonight...

Mmm, I think I could roll with that if pushed.
Although "Invert No. 3" on the ingredients list isn't quite selling it to me.

Re: What are you drinking now?
I know you're "unavailable for comment", Dave, due to being affixed to some planks and throwing yourself down a cold slippery mountain for some inexplicable reason , but how did the tasting go? TBH I'm more interested in the conversations than the vino but this may not be the right place I suspect.
