Clear out- bags and stuff

Post by redefined_cycles »

Really need a good clear out. Hoping to add stuff as time goes on. Happy to entertain offers in case anyone thinks my prices are way off. Pics emailed upon request.

Miss Grape 10.7 Tendril front harness/bag - £35 plus postage at cost
Bought used and was looking forward to using it. In mint condition but sadly one of the buckles is slightly broken can be bought from Mis Grape. This is the buckle kit and this be the point where it's broken.

It's the plastic bit surrounding the metal insert. It's slightly cracked. Superglue might do it but I imagine you'd need the correct replacement for a decent repair.

Rockgiest cache top tube bag XL £39 posted

It's a lovely TT bag and AFAIR is 2L. Shallows a load of stuff and can take a massive phone sideways. Have just bought the Tailfin so need to raise the funds by selling this. In excellent condition and zippers all working fine. Not waterproof but from waterproof material.
Hey Shafiq! thanks for the email. We are about 2 weeks away from finishing a batch and delivery to UK has been taking about 2-4 weeks. hope that works! also they are made from waterproof fabric but we sew the fabric so moisture can get in through the needle holes.
That was the last message from Greg before he posted it out to me from the US.

More to come. Just need to figure out what I can 'unhoard'.

So true. I try to keep my bikepacking/cycling gear off limits. Took 16 years of constant struggle that I've managed to retain a bit and a few bobs.

Miss Grape top tube bag. Probably my best and most stable (2nd to the Tailfin which I've just put on).

Couple of teeth missing which didn't bother me. It's a No8 or No5 YKK zipper so plenty strong and plenty life remains. Just ensure you brush your teeth. £24 posted (ONO) or I can bring down to the BB200 with me.

Them sidepoackets are amazing. Goes all the way round and good for litter until you see a bin. Ensures you don't leave any grams on the bike after having passed any potential bins!

Any pics of the Rockgeist bag? I'm tempted by that or the Miss Grape TT one. Could pick up at the weekend if you're still doing it...

They are both very stable once in position. The Miss Grape probably moreso, but there's not much in it. The Rockgiest probably sits a bit taller so the capacity is more usable for a phone.

Cheers Shaf,

I like the look of the mesh side pocket thing too, but tempted by the presumably greater flapjack carrying capacity of the slightly bigger (and wider I presume?) bag. See you at the weekend...

Yes. Tis a bit deceptive. IMO the Miss Grape is actually massive too but different base so harder on putting awkward (long flapjack items) in maybe. Don't forget to bring some straps as I'm not sure if I was using the original velcro or some uprated Voile straps. Can't have the voile, sorry :o

Some better pics of the condition of the Rockgiest (bit of black mould like marks inside (sorry). Just disinfected it with the wife's new upphostery antibacterial spray.

Miss Grape now spoken for as the little boy commandeered it onto his bike.
