So does the owl come to that.

It's good to have a picture of Stu's happy face to calibrate your expectations.

What an incredible creature.

Owl's not bad either, etc., etc.

Have you taken up falconry Stu? Or just made friends with the local fauna?

I've dabbled for years but only with owls (it's a long boring story). I think I've had Teapot for around 25 years and he's probably approaching 30 now.

That's brilliant. Took kid 1 for a falconry experience just before Christmas, they had a great time. 👍

We're all expert practitioners Here of the noble art of the Second Breakfast, and indeed Third Breakfast. I'm not sure how this suggestion would go down with Boners: https://amp.theguardian.com/food/2 ... eapple

Swap the fried toms for fried pineapple? Sacrilege!

They're right about 'hash browns' though. Abominations.

Hey! Why choose? There's room for both.

+1 about hash browns. Tasteless grease-sponges.
Mushrooms can go, too. Too similar to slugs :YMSICK: .

I saw that and some of the responses about how you can't have sweet things on a cooked English. Now, I'd argue against that. Ketchup anybody? I wouldn't add pineapple but I am partial to a meaty pizza with added pineapple. I know, put me up against the wall.

My main point of posting was to describe a full Scottish breakfast which would include square sausage, black pudding etc but also a slice of cooked fruit pudding. It is the king of breakfasts and if you don't think so, then you're wrong.

Love owls, think they’re really cute

My daughters favourite teddy is based on that very type of owl you have Stu. She’s owl obsessed, like Bearlegged, she’s done falconry with owls. She also loved the picture!

Nobody really likes the tomatoes that usually come with a full English breakfast
god forbid there should be any of your 5 a day on the plate

Whilst not against pinapple on pizza or a sweet and sour i wont be having it for breakfast unless its on a pancake.

I ike hash browns with mine but i grate a spud , squeeze the starch out and dry fry. I have never tried a shop bought version.

In a fusion of interleaving posts I wonder if Teapot would eat pineapple for breakfast. Maybe if it was hollowed out and had a mouse hidden inside it?

In a genuine, for once for Reg, Cheery Friday report; I've just been down to the river to check on my little guerilla-planted babies (23 oak saplings (*), 47 blackthorns, and a number of hazels/dogwoods/elders) and they all still seem to be alive after my careful watering etc last year. Reckon that's my carbon offsetting reasonably under control. I shall reward myself with the remaining half of Bob's Dead.

(*) I say saplings, the oldest one, grown from an acorn, is now over 20' high.

Great portrait of both :-bd

Got a new job. News came in last Thursday. By chance had meant to meet me Mum on Friday and Dad today anyways, so was nice to celebrate
Away from industry and into university (Dental Research Center in Berne). Away from product development (with very little research) and into research. Fantastic (small) team, flat hierarchy, great infrastructure and a big open field to play in. Happy days. Can't wait :-bd

If you think mushrooms are like slugs, you should try my mums (too late, she's dead) pickled honey fungus. Think slugs in slime, in vinegar. :o

Nice one Dave, mines a pint :-bd
12 degrees on my evening bike ride today - not that cheery given it's the second of February and I want some snow! But cheery in that it was light when I set out. LAter on the bats were out too (and the moths they were feeding on), obviously thinking it's spring....
Hopefully they will return to hibernation next week when the temps finally drop again!

Not long back from the ice rink, where I had an accidental "sit down". My left wrist is now encased in tubigrip and I'll be taking all the drugs before going to bed. Was planning on a longish MTB ride tomorrow, not sure I'll be able to hold the bars with the left hand. 😞

Time to go and buy some body armour...

Cheery Friday here as we take ownership of our new allotment today. I'm off to buy a pipe and some tobacco and a hoe later.

Visions of Dave heading down to his allotment for a quiet morning indulging his new pipe smoking routine, only to be confronted by Reg and a merry band of BAMmers nestled in the potting shed.
