Winter ride

Post by Valerio »

Hardly a big adventure, hardly an epic or "new" ride but with a snowfall forecast for the night I quickly decided to go out and set off in the morning along a route I had ridden before a few times during summer.
The Peak District was covered in snow and I struggled to recognise even the familiar places.

Pretty impressed by how the bike and tyres handled it, although I was taking things slow and easy.
The only thing that let me down were the shimano pedals that kept getting clogged in snow and was struggling to clip in as a result of that.

Link to YouTube video summing up the ride.
Get the kettle on, enjoy.

Any feedback would be much appreciated

I would typically deploy the fatbike in such conditions, whilst ruminating that something with narrow grippy tyres would probably be more optimal...

Ace! Really enjoyed that. Don't know the Peak at all but might have to change that.

Kudos for the sketchy bit.
