Blaenau 600

Post by godivatrailrider »

Run by the Cross Cartel (Epic Cycles) out of Ludlow  and already passed for this year ( and not something I'd attempt ) but the route is there to be used ... might be of interest to someone :)

They run several events throughout the year including the old Rough Ride

Presumably they've been mentioned before a few times... but it doesn't hurt to be reminded :)

My first thought was "stuff that it uses the strata florida"
But looking closely it follows the parallel fire road - good choice!

At one point I thought I was going onto that beautiful looking strip of track... and then I realised my GPS had screwed up.

This was just before Karl caught up with me for the second time and a short while before we hit the log flume!

The GPX track on 1:50k was a bit vague at one point. Sadly when you zoomed in, it was clear. Plus there was no way Stu would have sent us the easy way

We sure we're talking about the same "mid-Wales" as BB200 here? The dudes in those photos look way too clean!

And I thought Blaenau is "fronts"?
