Now they've been out for a bit, what do people think of these?
They seem like a great cheap option for basic route following duties, but slightly alarmed by how many 2nd hand ones are on ebay for not very much - is this just because people buy them try it out and then get upgrade-itis, or is there a better reason they want to get shut of them?
Very tempted to get one...

I actually quite like it for on road navigation but I suspect it is not going to be great off road. I found it useful when things are hectic (traffic) and there's no real time to stare at a map. It was pretty easy to set-up and use

A GPS that relies on a phone Internet signal has an obvious weakness but no experience of this unit. ( and my garmin 530 was £135 iirc new in a sale )?
