Suncream in a pouch?

Post by thenorthwind »

I had a little travel-size pouch of suncream which was ideal for bikepacking and traveling general. Not a single use sachet, but a soft pouch with a nozzle/lid. Pretty certain it was this: https://www.superdrug.com/skin/sun-care ... l/p/769678

I resolved to buy all my suncream this way in future, since I don't burn easily and use very little of it, so it actually ends up being less wasteful - it took me at least 3 years to get through this one! But I've looked in a few places, and can't find any, and Google hasn't thrown up much either. Am I back to decanting into a film canister?

I use a small hand sanitiser bottle with flip lid which holds 30ml - enough for a sunny weekend in Wales.

Food grade empty pouches like the baby food kind.
I ve used them for whiskey - much lighter than a hip flask

Top tip, suncream or scotch! How do you fill them without spillage?

I picked up a couple of these on sale a while ago:

It's much smaller in real life (50ml)

Worth bearing in mind (and IIRC) but sunscreen goes off. Google says effective for 3 years from manufacture and it depends whether opened, how stored etc etc etc. Just might be noteworthy if you're making one bottle last yyyyyyyeeeaaaarrrrrsssss

Great, I have a stainless hipflask funnel. Thought the screwthread top would make pouring into the bag a faff. Don't mind wasting a bit of suncream but not good Scotch
