They must surely rank as one of the worst frames ever made. My brother-in-law had one, I had the correct stuff to glue it back together, he'd show up with the bike in the back of car every 3 months for some repair or other. Sean Kelly rode Vitus when he was with Kas. He was singing the praises of the bike on TV at the time and the interviewer asked how often he changed the frame, Kelly replied "every race".
Yeah maybe old and Vitus alu is an oxymoron... they had a certain reputation. Great looking bikes though, while they lasted.

Funny how you can look at a pic and instantly recognise where it is!
I see Rab are doing a new(ish) bivvy bag - bit heavy though....
https://rab.equipment/uk/trailhead-bivi ... k_products

Kind of wish someone like Rab or ME would do a similar thing to a borah bivvy, but without the interminable wait for them to make them.

No but you will have been past it Alpinum - its above Loch Affric on the track the HT follows. I recognise the tree as many years ago I walked as far as it with my parents on a snowy but sunny April day. I always pause for a bit of a reminisce (and a snack) when I pass by so quite familiar.

Cheers. I had a place in my head in Glen Feshie but background didn't seem quite right, also the width of the track.

Got to love those Scots pines. :X

I did double check the date but this is a real product. Fairly niche it has to be said.

Hopefully there's one on its way for review. It's something that was commercially available before but perhaps not with such a high profile.

There was a harness type thing out a few years ago as I had one when doing a lot of big hills makes it so much easier hike a biking.

Now I seem to one of few who have a rucksack on so bike goes on to rucksack saves my back.

The expandable waist pack looks useful and the jacket/poncho is an interesting idea. I'm going to take a guess that it's all top £ though. A longer front like that on a WP jacket could save me packing WP shorts - if the rear was a decent normal length and you have guards you'd be good for all but the truly worst weather. As long as it didn't just create a crotch puddle that is.

Not sure about the sleep poncho, wouldn't you get cold feet?

If you get cold feet in the poncho, you can just call the help desk with the integrated phone and get some footwarmers sent out:

There's a collaboration between R@pha and Snow Peak but I don't think there's anything actually new, well not of consequence anyway, just extra branding on some existing bits of kit for even more money.

As a fan of both brands it's a little disappointing

Thermarest and a few others do something very similar to the sleep poncho .... but without the handy retro phone pocket.
