Reboot....
10/04/2023 121.0kg
14/04/2023 119.4kg
20/04/2023 118.6kg
28/04/2023 118.5kg

Down 4.4kg or 13.3 red squirrels :-bd

Last weekend was BAM followed by the usual sloth like recovery and birthday munching, so I'm ok with the alleged 100g (third of a red squirrel) loss. I'm sure it's actually a bit more in terms of fat loss as I'm pretty inflamed this morning from a few rides this week and weights yesterday afternoon. I also must be putting some small amount of muscle on as the reps are going up slowly.

Not great tbh but as Allen says, it's still lighter than when I started. I'll take that... but must do better next week. Actions speak louder than words, though, so we'll see!

Good effort!!! :-bd

I'm aiming for a reboot (again!).

After two weeks in the UK drinking too much and eating too much and badly I don't want to admit the numbers

Let's just say it's wasn't good news.

I'm gonna give my new regime another week and then see where things are at (at which time I'll admit what my post-UK total was).

Was in a pretty dark place about it all but 4 rides and a hike in the week since returning has lifted my spirits somewhat.....

Target - 72kg
7/1 - 73.8kg
14/1 - 72.9kg
21/1 - 73.1kg
28/1 - 73.2kg
4/2 - 72.5kg
11/2 - 72.6kg.
18/2 - 73.3kg
25/2 - 72.7kg.
4/3 - 73.2kg.
18/3 - 73.6kg.
25/3 - 73kg
1/4 - 73.4kg
8/4 - 74.2kg
15/4 - 74.6kg
22/4 - 74kg
29/4 - 74.4...so things have been going up and down for last few weeks. Just cant resist snacking, never to extremes but regular enough to sneak the weight up. Going back home at the weekend and that won't help. Chip shops up there much more dangerous up there than they are in Norfolk. Target is to show a bit more resilience until I land, enjoy the bad stuff guilt-free and then start again on return with a bit more purpose than I have over last couple of months. Easy.

After the Cake Ride Thing and many, many beers I didn’t cycle enough to work it all back off 😂 I managed to gain this week.

My clothes still fit the same, and I’m going to have a good week this week, so I’m not too worried.

Edit; just notified it’s not Friday. Oh well 😂

I did mention that things went a sniff sideways after a UK holiday.

Two weeks back home, off the booze and back in the hills has me back to where I was but cripes it ain't good!

Got the Tuscany Trail in a couple of weeks and so let's see if my battered corpse can hold itself together for 550km of hilly, scenic fun.....

April 19th - away for her birthday
April 27th 94kg 14st 11.25lb
May 5th 93.89kg 14st 11lb

Having had a great WRT and acknowledging my fitness is certainly better than it has been for a while, I'M STILL ON THE DAMN PLATEAU!
I've lost 0.5lb in a month.
I'm not believing 'it's muscle', as I doubt it is.
I think I'd need to adjust my eating, which I don't actually think is too bad at the moment.
We're coming into salad season, maybe that'll help.

Heading back down again, I don’t know how. I’ve eaten a bit too much. Coronation bbq & beers at work, a bit later that week I went to a dirty burger place, then a bar for honeycomb beer, then for desert, then a few days later a Greek, more beer and dessert….eek.

I'm AWOL until next Friday. Had in-laws here for a week and now a pal down from Shetland for some riding, so it's been cafe life and meals out and will be for the next few days.

I expect tears next weigh-in, but the good news is that for all I've been enjoying the cafes/meals I've not been binging, and I've also managed to keep exercising without over doing it.

Apart from losing a bit of weight over the WRT and putting it back on again I seem to be maintaining ok.

Not weight but fitness related .. I am NOT a racer, I'm a plodder.... Weds night SWMBO was having a day in London, so I devised a possibly (but unlikely) longer ride, 30 miles which is more a 3hour weekend ride distance than a 'Weds night in South Shropshire' spin. 10mph average is about the best I can ever hope for over that distance
Weather was clement after much rain so lanes seemed sensible. Was a tad blustery, but wind diminishing.
Off I sets on the CDF, taking it easy, thinking 'ain't no way I'm doing 30 miles!'
At 8.5 miles there's a decision point, short 14 mile route or longer 18 (with a hefty hill), sod it feeling ok lets do the 18.
Again at 13 mile straight on or right for 18 or 30 ... I've never been right before and I'm doing ok and the chance of exploring new lanes so right it is.
The new lanes were lovely, especially so as they avoid the stinking Killhorse Lane climb!
Onwards and just slightly downhill and a prolonged 5 mile section at about 20mph.... felt fab!
At 21 it's left at Kingsland and in through Yarpole and Richards Castle, still mooching ok. Feeling good.
Last couple of climbs I pushed on and tried to hold pace.
Arriving back at Ludlow I'd done 30.3 miles in 2hrs 9 mins.  14.1 mph average & 1400' climbing.
Just one of those good rides. It felt great! So I may not be lighter, but I'm certainly fitter. :-bd

Not weighed myself today and I shalln't be but.....

Feeling good. Riding more. Walking/hiking more.

The distances I'm putting in aren't embiggening but the stats (times, HR, pace etc...) are all showing improvement.

Staying off the booze and feeling good for it.

Onwards and downwards.....
