I just find the "worse things happens" something you can always say, to anything, unless its as extreme as the two things I stated. I could have used the zombie apocalypse and thermonuclear war but doubt that would have met with universal approval/understanding either [ and the two I mentioned are happening currently ]
I dont have much confidence this post will lead to clarity, or help much, but that is the intention.

I find it to be a phrase some people use to imply they don't think it is a "big deal". Not one that literally means, because it's not THE MOST IMPORTANT THING EVAH, that the issue at hand is utterly irrelevant. But then I'm all about shades and not the absolutes
