Did mine in the lab with (iirc) 10 M NaOH I made from pure NaOH pellets at work. I also did it under the safety hood...

Knowing how satisfying it is, to build a bike from frame upwards, I can only imagine the sense of achievement that comes from doing the extra welding/painting/fettling involved in this build.
I can definitely imagine the smile on your face, when riding it.

Thanks! Yeah, it sounds coy, but it genuinely makes me smile riding it. All the lyrca'd up super-commuters are probably wondering what I'm taking :cool:
